You Can Get Paid To Take Surveys

Filed Under (Employment) by admin on 11-10-2009

Many people love to take personality quizzes because they are entertaining and people feel that they learn a little bit about themselves through the process. If you are one of those people, you may want to consider looking into taking surveys as well. You can learn a little bit about yourself through the questions and you often get paid to take surveys depending on the company you choose.

There are many survey companies that can be found online. It is important to weed out some of the ones that don’t appeal to you, but this should take no time at all. If you are looking to get paid to take surveys, you have a lot of options and many of the survey carriers do not charge a membership fee. Many of them do.

I do know of a few people who pay memberships to survey companies but they consistently get paid to take surveys and these individuals argue that the membership fees are minimal. The opportunity is worth the investment because they fill out so many questionnaires that the money really adds up for them.

I am not one of those people. Even though I never bought a membership to an organization that promises that I will get paid to take surveys, I do have a free membership to a company that sends me questionnaires for me to answer online. If I meet the criteria, I am sent another email. This email includes a paying survey that I can complete. I get paid to take surveys on occasion.

The only trouble I have with the organization is that I answer questions for a number of emails promising that a survey follows if I meet the criteria. Unfortunately, I do not meet the criteria more often than I do. It is great to get paid to take surveys, but I would like to take more than one every eight months. It does not seem worth the time and effort.

I also do not like wasting time answering questions and waiting for feedback if I am not going to be paid to take surveys. The questionnaires are often very long and they can take as long as fifteen minutes to complete. My comrades who pay a small membership fee can get paid to take surveys that demand only ten minutes of their time.

It all boils down to what you want out of the activity. If you want to entertain yourself, then choosing a free membership will be adequate. However, if you seriously want to get paid to take surveys, consider investing in a membership. The cost is usually minimal. In fact, some claim that you earn much more than the initial membership fee in a few surveys.

It seems a no-brainer to go through a preliminary job application process, fill out the requisite forms, graciously accept a job interview invitation, dress appropriately, and answer job interview questionsand voila! Get the gig. But one part of that process, the step where you answer job interview questions, that is, requires a bit more attention and thought, or practice, evenbefore actually going through with the act.

Depending on the type of job and type of interview (including the number of panel members interviewing you, what props you need or get to bring, and the interview format), you will be expected to do one, some, or all of the following

Job Fairs

Filed Under (Employment) by admin on 11-10-2009

Do you know what you want to be when you grow up? This is a question burning on the minds of many high school and college graduates. It’s often so difficult to know what career path you want to choose. How can you truly know it’s the right one for you? Well, the sad reality is, a lot of times you can’t. This is why God invented job fairs. Okay, maybe it wasn’t God exactly, but some smart individual came up with the concept. Decent job fairs can be rather beneficial in helping you decide what field you really wish to pursue. It’s time to take a hold of your future in the workforce. It’s time to get hip with the concept of job fairs.

The first time I ever experienced a job fair was in college. It was at Portland State University and the crowds of students were swarming. What was the big fuss I wondered? Well, it turned out there was a decent sized job fair right smack dab in the middle of my campus. This was a perfect opportunity to test the waters. I began strolling around from table to table, striking up conversations with the people who possibly held my future in their hands. Well, you know what I mean. Maybe someone there would have the answer for my future career. I certainly knew that I didn’t at that point. After speaking with a variety of representatives in different fields, I did have a better take on future employment options. I suddenly had a good understanding of things I didn’t want to do, and a few things I would consider. Job fairs like these are great for giving you a dose of the real world.

Are you pondering your future after high school? Well, if you’re just at this point, I wouldn’t fret too heavily about careers. Instead you should seriously consider what school is right for you. A college education will definitely better prepare you for the workforce with skills and knowledge. You want that extra advantage before you attempt to vie with the many. Now if you’re finishing up college and still have not decided on what you want to do with your life, it may be time to check out some local job fairs. It’s true that even upon getting our bachelor’s that many of us still haven’t chosen a career path. Hop online today and find out what job fairs are coming to your area. The Internet makes it easy. Get a better take on your future with job fairs.

Accountant Starting Salary

Filed Under (Employment) by admin on 11-10-2009

People generally do not go into accounting just simply for the love of the job. Those who are attracted to this field do love to crunch numbers, however in general they also have other interests besides just moving other people’s money around. This is why, as a job counselor, I get so many questions about accountant starting salary from people contemplating this lucrative career. It seems that, no one is even willing to consider becoming an accountant without a good understanding of accountant starting salary first. But, for many reasons, I never give them quite the simple answer that they were looking for.

This is partly because of my philosophy as a job counselor. If someone wants to become an accountant just because they have heard that an accountant starting salary is high, they will not be all that likely to succeed in their chosen profession. Everyone wants to make money, but you have to also want to do what you are doing to make money, if you want to be successful. Desiring a high accountant starting salary will probably not be enough motivation to become a good and successful accountant. According to many experts, accounting has an unusually high burnout rate for just this reason, so always keep in mind that you should love what you do.

Another reason that it is hard to answer questions about accountant starting salary is because it really varies from place to place and job to job. Not all starting salaries for accountants are exactly the same amount of money. Although, in general, accountant starting salary compares favorably to other professions, it depends on many factors. How much you want to work and how willing you are to put in extra time are crucial, as is the amount of training you have. Someone who dedicates their whole life to their work will probably have a higher accountant starting salary than someone who takes more time off, but it might not be worth it.

The most important thing to remember is that, although accountant starting salary is high, accounting takes a certain type of temperament only compatible with certain people. You have to have a meticulous eye for detail, and a desire to spend your career doing something that most people find insanely tedious and boring: pushing numbers around. If you love doing this, you are a natural born accountant, and will find the accountant starting salary quite a fitting reward.
