Survivor

She is having a nervous breakdown. An apoplectic tizzy. A bloody fit. She is working at home on Thursday, December 15, a few hours before her worshipped reality TV show series finales are about to air. She decides to double check, as typically, each episode of Survivor and The Apprentice show on Thursday nights, one from eight to nine and the other from nine to ten, respectively. But recalling how at the juncture when the contestant pools are down to the final three (in Survivor) and the final two (on The Apprentice), the networks finally caught on to the absurdity of competing for viewers and scheduled not overlapping times but different days. So one or the other will not be tonight but on Sunday night instead. Yeah, that’s it. Last season, Survivor yielded and aired its two-hour finale on Sunday.

She checks the Direct TV guide first, scrolling frantically, after having found, okay, no problem, The Apprentice is on from nine to eleven, butwhat? In the usual eight to nine time slot for Survivor isTwo and a Half Men and How I Met Your Mother (the former very adult funny, the latter not so much but getting there).

Utter panic sets in, as she takes valuable working time to check the online TV listings. Still, no Survivor. Not at 7, not at midnight, not on Sunday three days from now. So she googles the show. Big
