Wholesale Bags

Filed Under (Business) by admin on 12-10-2009

If there is one thing that is universal, it is the desire to make a living doing what you love. Who doesn’t want to be rich and successful, spending all their time indulging in their passion? Yet for most of us, this remains fantasy. Most people, in fact, never even try it. They assume that there is no way to make it work. For me, however, there definitely was.

You see, I have loved discount designer bags since I was a kid. As a pre-teen, I developed an uncanny ability to find expensive bags discounted. I would get them in thrift stores, discount clothing outlets, or after-holiday sales. I never had much money, but I dressed like one of the rich kids!

I went to college like everyone else, majored in business administration, and figure that was that. I didn’t really wants to work in someone’s huge, overwhelming business office, but I knew that it was something I could do that would pay the bills. I had no idea, however, how boring it was. After a few years, I was hopelessly burnt out. I began to look for wholesale closeouts, particularly wholesale bags. At first, it was merely out of curiosity. What I found out, however, shocked me a great deal. As easy as it was for me to find wholesale bags wandering around town, it was 10 times easier on the Internet! I had struck a gold mine!

I started off by investing in wholesale designer handbags in bulk and selling them off, one by one over eBay. It wasn’t long before I was making a killing. As a matter of fact, I was getting orders for my wholesale bags faster than I could mail them! Soon I realized that I had to take a risk. I had to quit my job and devote myself full-time to my online business, or else I would be hopelessly swamped by orders. It was a risk, but it was a risk I was willing to take.

Soon, I was selling wholesale backpacks, customized bags, tote bags - anything you could use to carry something else in. The great thing is, once I started spending a lot of money buying wholesale bags, the designers noticed me. I got better details, priority offers, and an inside track to the best wholesale bag suppliers. This increased my profit margin tremendously and allowed me to undercut most of the competition. I have been sitting pretty ever since!

Earthquake Safety Facts

Filed Under (Info) by admin on 11-10-2009

Earthquake safety is illusive to some, misrepresented to others, and dispensed well by the many in the know. First, some of us do not live or have not until recently lived in a region where earthquake safety was called for as must-know protocol. Next, the comics will tell you that many safety points are myths handed down by the misinformed or the authorities without a clue as to how to make you feel at easeso as they did with the fifties bomb scare advice, when they told students to climb under their desks for protection (from nuclear fallout???), or in the event of a hurricane warning to tape your windows, will tell you to run to and stand in a doorway or what have you. Ducking into doorways would be reasonable if the earth only always rumbled with very minor tremblings, but an earthquake of the scope of the Loma Prieta (October, 1989, San Francisco), for instance, which took out tons of cement and steel on bridges will not be discouraged from crumbling that house and door jamb right around you, trapping you for keeps.

Windows do not implode during an earthquake, so you will not likely be hit by a hurling shardthough windows do buckle and break and the chances do exist that one could get injured, so staying away from glass is a good idea. If possible, going outside and away from possibly falling buildings is another good earthquake safety suggestion. And also smart is turning off gas at the main, because gas and other pipes

Alzheimers Guide

Filed Under (Health) by admin on 11-10-2009

Alzheimer’s is a neurodegenerative disease that is characterized by the progressive loss of brain function. The areas of the brain targeted first by the disease are associated with memory, so the first observable symptoms are usually mild forms of amnesia. Alzheimer’s is the most common form of the more general condition known as dementia. Dementia is an umbrella term used to describe any progressive damage to the areas of the brain that control memory or any other cognitive function.

The earliest stages of Alzheimer’s all involve symptoms associated with memory loss. Affected individuals may have a hard time remembering what day or month it is. They may find themselves losing items more frequently than normal, forgetting recent events or confused and disoriented in familiar environments. Normally, old memories are unaffected in these earlier stages. An affected person will recognize old friends and family, but may not have any clear memory of recent interactions with them.

As Alzheimer’s progresses, the affected person often begins exhibiting difficult behavior. They often become paranoid, quick to anger, overreact to minor things, suffer from hallucinations, and can even become violent. These behaviors are seen even in individuals that were shy, timid, or passive people prior to developing the disease. Someone in the middle stages of Alzheimer’s will usually begin to lose motor control and will need help dressing and performing everyday personal hygiene functions. They often also lose the ability to speak clearly, read or write. At this stage in the disease, even older memories become affected, and afflicted people may not recognize family members or life long friends at times.

In the later and final stages of the disease, individuals usually have complete memory loss and will recognize no one. They will be unable to communicate, walk, participate in personal care activities, or even eat on their own. As a result, sufferers in these late stages usually are incontinent and begin to lose a lot of weight. They often spend most of their time sleeping, and frequently suffer from seizures. Alzheimer’s will eventually lead to death due to loss of brain function.

While there are no known cures for Alzheimer’s, there are some treatments available that can slow the condition down, and a promising array of new treatments on the horizon. Our increased understanding of biology and the human genetic code have many scientists hopeful for effective preventive measures and possibly even cures in the near future. Already, there are results from a number of recent studies that suggest that certain life behaviors, such as a healthy diet and regular exercise, can help reduce your chances of developing the disease.

Remedies For Anxiety

Filed Under (Health) by admin on 11-10-2009

Anxiety can really put you on edge. Not only is it uncomfortable to live with, studies have shown that anxiety is actually physically bad for you, increasing your likelihood of developing serious heart conditions, and even cancer. Finding some remedies for anxiety is therefore always a good idea.

Everyone suffers from some amount of anxiety in their lives. If you have anxiety, you are therefore not alone, and there isn’t anything wrong with you. Anxiety is a natural response to a stressful and hectic world. Because for many people anxiety tends to get worse with age, finding some useful remedies for anxiety is better done sooner rather than later. A good place to start is to talk to your doctor about your anxiety; he or she will be able help you determine what remedies for anxiety may be appropriate for you.

The first thing you’ll need to determine is whether you are suffering from normal amounts of anxiety, perhaps related to stressful situations in your life, or if you have an anxiety disorder. People with anxiety disorders have excessive anxiety even when there is no good reason for it.

There are several effective remedies for anxiety that can go a long way in alleviating normal amounts of the condition. First thing you should look into if you’re interested in remedies for anxiety is reducing or eliminating your caffeine intake. Caffeine has anxiety written all over it. In fact, I’m fairly sure caffeine means anxiety in Latin, or Ancient Greek, or Sanskrit or some other old language. Okay, so maybe that last part isn’t true, but it may as well be, for regular caffeine intake will go a long way towards mimicking an anxiety disorder.

The other remedies for anxiety that may help are diet and exercise. By diet, I don’t mean you have to go on a diet, but just watch what you’re eating. Eating loads of sugars, fats, and unhealthy foods can amplify anxiety. Far more important, however, is regular exercise. Regular exercise has been proven to be an extremely effective remedy for anxiety.

Anxiety disorders can be crippling for many people, and may require more serious treatments. Fortunately, there are a variety of very effective medications available today that can considerably alleviate the symptoms of an anxiety disorder. These medications, combined with talk therapy, and the remedies for anxiety described above, form a powerful arsenal in fighting even severe forms of anxiety disorders.

Wedding Anniversary Gifts Guide

Filed Under (Family) by admin on 11-10-2009

wedding anniversary gifts

Our 12th wedding anniversary is coming up in March of this year. I have been racking my brain trying to come up with some good ideas for wedding anniversary gifts that would be suitable for my husband. The best idea I’ve come up with so far is a Global Positioning System. This is something he mentioned a while ago and I figure it would be a good start to the wedding anniversary gifts that I will buy for him.

Some other wedding anniversary gifts ideas that I may also purchase (though some may be saved for next year) include a portable car battery recharger, titanium rings, an IPOD, a portable DVD player and a combination brad nailer/stapler. I prefer to buy personal items when I’m shopping for wedding anniversary gifts for my husband, however, he is extremely particular and I know it’s usually safer to buy him a practical item, if I want to be assured that he will like it.

In the past, some of the wedding anniversary gifts that I have bought him included a combination mP3 player/digital camera. I have also bought him jewelry, clothing, a sony digital camera, a home gym and many more wedding anniversary gifts. He has bought several items for me as well. My wedding anniversary gifts have included a leather vest, jewelry, clothing, books, gift certificates and many more items.

Last year, our wedding anniversary gifts from our family included a huge gift basket with wine, chocolates and candles, as well as, two nights accommodations at a local theme suite hotel. The first night was spent in the Rome room and the second night was in the Japan suite. The hotel was beautiful and it was very nice to get away from the responsibilities of life for a little while. This was one of the nicest wedding anniversary gifts we’ve ever received.

We usually make a big deal about our parents wedding anniversaries. Even though we live a great distance from home, we still make a point to purchase and send wedding anniversary gifts. Last year we made reservations for dinner at a lovely restaurant and paid in advance for a nice evening out for my parents. In the past wedding anniversary gifts that we have purchased for them included a new television, a new VCR, new dishes, wine glasses and many other wedding anniversary gifts.

We celebrated the 10th wedding anniversary of my husband’s sister and her husband quite recently. The entire family got together and took them out for a wonderful dinner where they also received and open a whole pile of wedding anniversary gifts. It’s nice to get together as a family for this type of occasion.
